spring and shock combo sugestions
Like the title says...i want to lower my car, about 1.5-2in. I see lots of Diff spring sets but the only shock/struts i see are the TRD ones.
are there other options out there?
what spring/shocks are you guys running?
how low do the TRD springs/shocks put you?
how low can i go with out rubbing on 17in wheels?

hmmmm....
Ive heard that the Megan Racing Springs do well paired with the VERY low priced monroe shocks for just the rear. one of my buddies has the setup and its pretty nice. he got the 4 springs for $98, and the rear monroes for $40. way cheap, nice drop, tight handling.
anyone agree or disagree?

How far does this lower the car?
Does the car actaully handle better?
How is the ride? I hate a bouncy ride, ill can deal with stiff, although the stockers are pretty stiff already. I will sacrifice performance for ride quality, but i really want 2in of drop.
In the VW world (where i came from) many companys had spring and shock sets matched together in one package. im surpised there isnt something like that for the xB. i saw a few coilovers, though i dont really want to spend that much since i dont want to go stupid low to beign with.

sounds like a winner. i have seen the df210s, but where can i get the Monroe shocks?
another question. It was my understanding that just putting a set of slowering springs in with the stock shocks will wear the shocks out much quicker then normal. is these shocks able to handle the 2in lower ride height? are these performance shocks?

TRD are the only cold rolled spring out period they are worth the money hands down and they drop a tiny bit further than 1.5 once they settle after installation I went through a few sets of springs and shocks kept blowing out. then I bought the echo kyb gr2 shocks which are racing and cheap and TRD spring and have not had a singe problem at all I swear by the trd springs and progress sway bars

i was looking at getting the Hotchkis (sp) springs and swaybar package and then TRD shocks.
also do any of you guys have rubbing issues with 17in wheels? i wouldnt expect any as most ppl seem to run 18 or 19in wheels.

Do a search for Monroes and everyone (including myself) has nothing to say but glowing things about Monroes out back. Makes the ride 100% better.
As for the origional post, Tein S-Techs and Sensatracs are great for me, great handling yet comfortable, way smoother than stock!

If your a normal person that drives his car easy and carefully than get monroes with tein s or h tech, it doesnt matter both are excellent springs that only difference is one goes lower than the other. As for performance driving get the koni yellows with tein s-techs, exclellent driving, much better cornering performance and A+ quality. That the setup in using and i would change it for the world, i even auto-x every now and then.
