Smile 2006 xA RS3.0 with 18" TRD rims?

I bought a used 2006 xA RS3.0 in 2010 and it has 18" wheels that have a faded TRD image on them. I've been wondering if this was a standard wheel on the RS3.0 or if it was an option?

That was an optional wheel for the xA and xB.

Default Thanks Big Jim

OK so the 18" TRD wheel was an option on by xA RS3.0. Now my next question is could these be swapped with say a 16" wheel from a tC? In other words is the backspacing the same on other Scions? The low profile tires on the 18" wheels are a bit too stiff for my wife and I (ages 65 & 57).

The bolt pattern on the xA and the tC are different. The xA is 4x100, and the tC is 5x100.

Your best bet is to check your local craigslist and see if someone has Xa or xB (2004-2006) steel wheels and tires for sale. The stock tire size was 185/60/15, with a 15" steel wheel and hubcap. Those ride a lot better than the 215/35/18s that came on the TRD rim option.

Default Thanks again, Big Jim

That's good info. Unfortunately I don't like the look of 15" steel wheels with covers. Guess I'll have to consider some 16" alloy aftermarket wheels. Just not sure I want to drop cash on the xA. I was hoping I could swap wheels with someone who owned a tC.

^^ you'd be able to swap wheels with someone that has an xB, but not a tC unfortunately.
