im running 215/35/18 on my xb now.. im looking for a lil taller sidewall.. anyone running 215/40/18?? if so.. hows the fitment?

i tried. you gotta roll the fenders to get them to work. there too tall.

I've got em. The only issue I had with em is that they would rub the front fender liner at full lock on both sides. I fixed that by trimming the plastic a bit. I'm on stock suspension still though, so I can't say how they do with a dropped box. But I will be installing Tein S-Tech's and Koni's in a few weeks. I'll let you know then. HTH

You can also look into a 225/35 as opposed to the 215/35 or 215/40. The tire is a little wider and falls between the other two in height. The 215/35 is 23.92", the 225/35 is 24.2" and the 215/40 is 24.77". You only gain about a 1/4" mathematically as opposed to over 3/4", but you also get less stretch on your sidewall. This can help as well.

yeah thats what im about to run. the 225 35s. they look squarer on the rim, and i love the look, they also have more sidewall than 215s. just how the tire size is calculated, the 35's dont match with every 35 out there! but lowering you will have to do more work on your box. advanced warning!
