215 x 40 x 18 be okay?
I was reading in another thread where someone directed the guy to this spot on the website that gave recommendations on tire sizes for different size rims
For a 18 x 7.5 with a 42 offset
Would I run into slight rubbing problems with running a 40 series tired instead of a 35 series...heck I would love a 45 if its feasible

yeah it quiet except for certain road that are really coarse but most of the time i cant here it since i have the radio on i wanted to go with 225/40s but it would have rubbed on the suspension components and it was also like i believe he said like 2 inches bigger so my odom would have been off so we opted for the 215/40
Hotbox, what type of suspension set up do you have? I have some Eibach springs, and was thinking about using 215/40/18 all around. Have you noticed anything else with that tire setup you have? Also, do you have pics? Thanks :)
i have a stock suspension i havent started to modify that yet which i was supposed to do first but didnt the pics are here https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...asc&highlight=

I'd like to know if 215/40/18's would work on a 2 inch drop...most likely not, but I want to know for sure.
I need new tires, and am shopping so this is greatly appreciated...
Will 215/40/18's work on a xB dropped 2 inches???
THANKS!!!

scionara is running 225/40/18 with 2in drop...no problem

Hey there i have done a lot of research on this topic. im running 215/40 series tire with 18x7.5 with 42 offset and i have had no rubbing issues at all. They almost ride like stock. AS for goldlines i have them but haven't installed them yet.... but I did ask several peeps with this set up of tires and springs and they said they have no rubbing issues at all.
