Hey thanks for the all the comments good or bad. I don't take offense to any of it. Still our car.

In regards to the drop, I'm hoping it will settle a little bit more but I am happy with it. Any lower I'd be looking into fender rolling and maybe rear camber shims which I don't want to do YET. (have I said this before???)

In the pics, the rims have to be bigger or the car has to be dropped more.

not my style.. and definitely not worth waiting 12 weeks for.
but whatever makes you happy...my .02
The wheels are cool because you know you won't see the guy down the street with the same set... they are very clean looking...

...but I am a true believer in a stance of a car ( height and how the wheels and tires fit the car ) and I just think the fit is off, mainly with the front.

What I don't like to see is the top of the actual tire. If you can see the tread up high on the tire and if you can see the tread on top of the tire...well it just never looks right to me.

For example if you look at any normal family car in a parking lot, there will be lots of clearance between the tire and the wheel well and you will be able to clearly see the tire tread...this look should never be found on a (tuner type) car that has a nice set of wheels (IMO) and I can clearly see your tread pattern up top.

You know the car is lowered so that should tell you it isn't really a lowering problem...the problem is with the fitment of the wheel/tire combo... in this case I think the front just sticks out too much giving an illusion that there is a large gap between the wheel well and tire... there does seem to be a gap but I bet if the tire was more tucked it wouldn't look like as much of a gap... or maybe a little more sidewall on the tire... more sidewall on the tire will help fill up wheel well gaps...

Most people will probably disagree with me on this one but for most peoples set ups I don't care for a super low profile tire on these cars... I have seen some very low profile tires look very good but the wheel selection and stance is perfect so it works.....

Good points and all comments are well received.

The only way to rectify what you mentioned regarding the front tire would be to either A) Lower it more which may be an option for the future or B) run a staggered setup.

I contemplated running a staggered setup but in the end, for me at least, I didn't want to run a FWD car with bigger tires in the back. Don't get me wrong, I love the look of staggered on some of the member's rides on here but it just wasn't for me.

After having the rims on for a few weeks now, they probably are a little too small for how low I am but for a daily driver I'm quite content with it.

Thanks for taking the comments... I thought about it more and really, you have a nice setup and I didn't want to seem like I was hating... ( I am actually trying to pick out a set of rims for my car and I think about this crap way too much ) and if the discount tire "tire calculator" is correct... the difference between the stock tire diameter and your 215 40 16 is that your setup is an inch shorter ( overall diameter ) but since you have a daily driver a 45 instead of a 40 would bring it back to stock type diameter at only being .12 smaller in diameter vs stock.

...it also says your setup circumference is over 3 inches smaller where again if you had a 45 series tire.. it would only be around .38 inches smaller.

I would like to see if this is true in person because it doesn't appear that you are off by that much...only way to tell for sure is measure...

I think a 215 45 16 would fill in the wheel well much better.

I hear what you are saying about the staggered look... I love the look too but agree it is kinda funny on a front wheel drive car... the same funny as watching a front wheel drive car drag race... sure they do it and quite well now but it still will never have the look of watching a rear drive vehicle drag with visible weight transfer working!
