All Scion service centers run by chimpanzees? chipped rims.
So, I had one extremely disgusting experience at the local Scion place. You can click on the link in my sig for info on that. *shudders*
So I take the Phantom Mantis up the street to the other Toyota/Scion place. It's not as new, but I am definitely never going back to the first place again.
This is my xA's first service. They suggest a tire rotation. I figure what the heck? I'm already getting the oil change for free from Scion. $22 isn't hurting my wallet.
I just went to clean my wheels today and I notice that all four of my rims are chipped and gouged from where they rotated the tires! It's like they'd never taken off a STOCK rim before and used the wrong size air wrench or whatever. Pics below.

Etcetera, Etcetera.
So, what are my options? If you'll notice, one of them has a pretty serious chip. The rest are gouged very deelpy. Is this repairable? Should I put up with a repair if they offer or ask for new rims?
What about being refinished? Perhaps I should ask them to pay to have them powdercoated??
GAH! I'm really starting to hate Scion.

simple. go back, show the service manager the problem, and expect it to be taken care of. They will obviously go for the cheapest route, which should be to refinish. I would allow that, if it were mine. I would also expect it to be as good as it was when you went in. If not, I would continue as far up the chain as necessary to remedy the situation.
Yea, I orderd my rims and had them shipped to the dealer so when I took delivery they would be able to just put them on and put the stockies in the back. That went fine, however, I noticed vibrations at different speeds and had the dealership re-balance. Like you I didn't notice until I was cleaning my car one day, but every wheel was scratched to hell and their were all kinds of divits etc.... I basically made a huge stink about it and they said they would ship them out to be re-furbished. Fine with me. A week goes by....nothing. Eventually they just ended up buying me a new set of wheels. When they got them, I had them mounted and balanced at a place up the street. F*ckers.
