8/29: Exactly what the title says.. What kind of wheels are these?

They are from the "Ugly" line model, SuperDuper in 17x6 et weaksauce.

I'm definitely on the fence, but someone wants to trade me my old laptop for 4 of these with tires.. sooo.. you know.. debating myself..

 

If you could cut out those dingleberry things out of the wheel those things with the holes it would be a decent wheel.

 

I agree.. I was thinking.. maybe painting them black? Kinda.. drown them into the background..

But now.. I don't think I want wheels with "dingle berries"...

Hmmm, i am almost digging them, would like to see them on A car be it a xB or anything.

 

Yes.. I am very curious as to how they would look. Still trying to iron out getting them from this guy.. damned craigslist.. ha ha.. Flaky bastards..

 

So.. I traded for the rims. A couple old computer parts and 40 bucks.. sweet..
I know they are.. uh.. interesting to say the least.. Hopefully some paint can make them a little more..mmm.. classy? tasteful? bearable?

Needless to say.. the rims are a bit rough.. they are a 17x7's at a 42+ offset. Someone had pulled them off and run them around on their face.. major scratches and some deep divets..



So.. needing some serious work.. I went in a fixed lots of curbage and lots of scratches.
First one buffed and ready to go.


Ready for paint!! Going for painting the back parts black.. so it should be pretty.. uh.. interesting.. can't wait to see how it comes out.




Not worried about the tires because they are chit mang.. And I'll get new ones if I like how they come out..

 

I think they are going to look cool. Nice thing is, Who else has them??? I get sick of seeing the same wheels on every xB. Props for doing something different!

 

They're going to look similar to the VW GTI wheel once the inner spokes are less defined... I'll be interested to see how they turn out.

 

I'm digging the finished product.. And Busted is right.. they do look like VW wheels.




Now.. I need some 17" tires so I can run these bad boys.. ha ha ha.

The only reason why they look borderline better than before, is because the black hides that "ugly".
Good job though.

 

OMG!!!! Focals!!! I haven't seen them since like 2000! Those were some of the cheapest wheels ever! They were a short lived tuner line from Ultra wheels I believe..either way they look better now!

They look good now that you painted them
