If you also look at that thread the stock center was put on a 15x8 barrel.

With those just being rim pinstripes, they make those for bikes in many colors. You can even get them in reflective colors. That would be hot at night.

yea that sounds about right, I remember looking at them, but I remember they only came in big sizes, like nothing below a 18 I think.

Why did you have more offset in the front? Is it to keep the tires from rubbing during U-turns?

The reason for the different offset is the rears aren't as flush to the fenders as the fronts.

+6 is 13 mm LESS than +19. Offset is a funny thing like that.

Widened steelies are dope and all but OMG these wheels would be sick as hell. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Black...spagenameZWDVW

They are 19x8 no idea on the offset, but most likely need major fender rolling and a HUGE spacer to fit them. OMG these would be sex on a box or Xa if lifted a little. Maybe i am not a good "picture'er" but I think that if someone can figure out how to fit these on the XA i will buy them. Then lower it 1inch with TRD springs LOL (maybe too low ... only 1 inch)

^^^Those are 17x9 and would not work as is because of the bolt pattern (4x10 so you would need adapters, which are 15mm thick or more, so et5 at the most. Better to get wheels that fit properly.

There are Falken Hanabi's in 17x9 4x100 et20 on edgeracing.com, get those powdercoated black and you'd be in bizness.

That SM is flippin' awesome. I've seen lots of air cooled VWs with widened steelies, but until this thread I never would have thought about them on a box. Good job guys!

They did weld the center to a new barrel. That seems more work than what it worth considering you can get them made to the offset you want for less than $100 a rim.

I am going to go this rote just have to sell my 501's to do it.
