How does running 18's instead of 17's fill the wheels gap if you are running the proper sized tires for both wheel sizes???
Either setup would still have nearly the same overall outside diameter.

^^^ my bad. i meant just cuz the wheels i have right now have 45 series tires, and the 18's are 35. ~ lower profile tires

i guess i could've just gotten lower profile tires for my 17's, but i liked the look of 18's too.

^^^NP, a 215/45 series 17 is slightly taller than a 215/35 series 18 by about 1/2 inch which translates to 1/4 inch MORE wheel gap for the 18.

yeahh. so i ended up picking up the wheels!
when i went to check the pressure to make sure the tire pressure was sufficient.
and one of the tires valves wasn't even opening up. we tried just poking the middle to let air out and it wasn't even bleeding any air.
is it just a bad valve?
and btw what would be the normal PSI for these tires?

Just swap out for a new stem core.
I run 37-38 in my TRDs.

i'll swap that out.
i like em so far. and a weird thing about em is that when i was swapping out my 17's for them, the 17's seemed heavier. gawdayam.

Wow, that is weird. Mine seem heavy but not real bad. I can't tell much difference in weight from my chrome 15's. The 15s just ride smoother because of the taller sidewall.

right right i know what you mean.
i love the comfortability of taller sidewalls.
but i love the look of low profile.
eghck. if only there was a way to get both.

and an update on the whole valve stem thing, turns out it wasn't giving out air cuz there WAS no air. there was a tear on the inside side wall.

i'm likin the 18's though

^^^Hmmm, when I bought my TRDs off of eBay, the box stated that the shipping weight was about 25 lbs. I think that's what they weigh?

hmm really? that would mean the tires would weigh a lot.

but yeah back to the original topic... does anyone else have/or seen any pictures of these wheels with a different color on the xB?

and p.s. these wheels have some curb rash on em, can you get that repaired?

If you get em that cheap they would look sweet whatever color you go with. Nice find.

anyone spaced their out to get a little more flush look?

I am considering it, but i may just run some sportmax wheels also, and just use the 18s here and there.
