Default Does the "other" bolt pattern size matter?

Just curious. Some of the rims I am looking at come in 4-100 (what I need) but also have a 2nd set of mounting holes in another size. So I can buy a 4-100 rim with a 4-108 2nd set of holes, or the same rim with 4-100 and a 4-114 2nd set. All the other specs seem to be the same.

The only reason I could think of to choose one over the other is maybe the popularity of the "other" size. If I wanted to sell the rims down the road and one 2nd size fit more cars than the other then it would be easier to sell. Not much of a reason to choose one or the other, is it?

My guess is it does not matter to me, really. Same price, same offset, same 4-100 bolt pattern - I really do not care what the "other" bolt pattern size is?

Thanks,
Dennis

As long as it has 4x100 on it you'll be fine (assuming the offset is less than +40).

The ones I am looking at are 40 or less and are supposed to fit the xB.

I am looking at wheels at Discount Tire Direct and TireRack. I have purchased from both before. In the past, wheel and tire combos came with lugs (mounting kit) for free. I just found out that DDD charges $45 for an install kit when you buy wheels from them!

So when comparing prices, TR charges shipping - which varies with the wheel weight and which warehouse they ship from relative to your location. So you have to factor that in, but they do include for free everything you need to install. DDD's prices include free shipping, but then they jack you $45 for the lugs.
