Just got 'em shipped to me today and went to work on them right away...sorry for the sucky pics, i finished up when it was starting to get a little dark. i'll retake some better and more pics later when i have a day off.

like christmas all over again

out with the old, in with the new

comparison shot of the added height with the new set

that's a 38+ offset, a little high but it visually manages to flush out well

woops, i forgot to talk about the wheels and tires themselves. Wheels 17x7.0 RS Racing RS110 with a Fully Polished Finish. Tires are 215/45/17. I would highly recommend some "fatter" tires. I used to run 205/40/17 on an old set and they made the wheels look small and had a very bouncy ride, especially for the folks in the backOriginally Posted by jjambox
wat size r the new ones?
i've been holding off on a drop for so long... i think i will stay with stock coils for now, until I get bored again...just wary about tinkering with the suspension.

its really not that big of a deal. Just get a quality set of springs and you wont have any problems.Originally Posted by hatchbox

That looks awesome, I love how they're rounded. So what is the color called? It's not chrom or silver and I want something shinny but not really chrome
The wheels have a fully machine polish finish to them.
The same goes for my not wanting something that is just an alloy. Chrome finish does not match up very well with the Thundercloud Metallic. I had a gunmetal (hyperblack) set of wheels so I was looking for a different look again, so making this decision was a rather easy one :D

REALLY GREAT Hatchbox! Thanks for the updated pictures, too!
Personally I think your xB looks great without a drop! No need to rush out and join the low boy club, enjoy the stock height while you have it. The lower the ride I guess equals comfort(?) but the stock ride/suspension seems to be pretty nice, too!
How is the ride now with the 215's? I was told I could just stretch my stock tires on the 15x7's wheels that I have ordered for a low profile look but I was also concerned about the ride comfort...

The ride on 215/45/17s is worlds apart from the 205/40/17 setup i was running before. It feels like there is a solid connection with the road, due in part to more rubber being layed down of course, but the difference is phenomenal in my opinion. I have yet to have a rear seat passenger, but i'll try to post some feedback from the backseat once it happens. Originally Posted by Al.Truistic

All in all, I would highly recommend upsizing the tires to anyone if they run 17s or maybe 18s. Skinny rubber is for lower profiles, going with tires helps close in on the wheel-fender gap for those that choose not to lower. Maybe I'll lower it 1.5 inches max in the future...otherwise I think I like mines the way it is. :D
i run 215/40/17's on my xB and am very happy with them, but next time im going to try the 215/45/17's
