How much needed to fill out the gap? Wheel related question.
Didnt think this was a "corner carver" thread since its more of an appearance related question. Well maybe its a tread and butter. oh well.
I dont have an xa yet but im hoping to get one by the end of the year. If i am not mistaken, stock wheel specs are 15x5.5 with a 38mm offset right? Well, my question is how wide of a wheel do i need to fill up the gap in the wheel well?
Im actually lookin at a set of rota gt-3's(some of you may think its too small, but i dont think so as long as the tire size is right)... specs on those are 16x7 with a 40 mm offset. And I would also get some wheel spacers along with them, so itll make it a 30mm offset. Do yall thnk that would be enough to fill up the gap pretty nicely?
OOH! and what about tire sizes? any suggestions on that?
Oh, and ill prolly be riding on the tein basics, progress coilovers, or the h&r cup kit, so ill pretty much be slammed.

cmon, someone on this board has to know or have a comment on the subject. or maybe i have to go tot he dealer with some measuring tape to see how far the wheel is from the outside of the wheel well.
yes, flushness with the fender. i hate it looking like the wheel is tucked in so far. like lookin at it from the front/rear or at an angle .
i mentioned getting the tein or progress coilovers.... or the h&r cup kit.
thx.

yea. you can even go 15 offset or 10 even maybe and be fine probably. ive been doing this all myself lately, and asking the more knowledgable people their opinion.
i tested it out on my own wheels today and i can run 10 offset on the back and not rub. and i can run 20 on the fronts and be flush. im dropped 2.2 all around .
30 offset will be close but by no means flush IMO. tires, go with 205.50.16s and you'll be good.

good stuff guys! thanks for the help. ill be doing more research as the time comes around(to get the xa i mean).
i would really like some wide **** 17's but not sure thats gonna happen right away.

so youve been messing around with cheapy wheel spacers to test offsets eh ? sweet. finally. but that's not exactly the best way. unless yer test wheels are the same width as yer final width.
