i won't be stretching the tire like shown in the pic. that's what mk1/mk2 VW people do, as there is much less room in the wheel well for a wide wheel/tire combo. i won't be low enough to need to stretch the tire, and the car is my daily driver- i've never liked the stretched look anyway.

we've got plenty of room on our cars to run a nice wide wheel/tire combo and be lowered a couple inches. plus, starting out with ET38, even with the wheels an inch and a half wider, they won't be sticking out obscenely.

Not only does that stretched tire look wierd, I think it's pretty darn unsafe, too. I think your wheels are going to look great on your box.

nothing wrong with stretched tires. once u get to an 8" wide wheel, you are gonna need to start stretching tires. im running 19x8 with 225/35/19 and they are stretched a tiny bit. but stretch hyelps along with mad camner in order to run like 15x8.5 in front and 15x9.6 in rear, it just makes it clear the fenders

 

Nice choice on wheels, although I would like to have seen an offset more akin to the one in the stretched tire pic.

 

nothing to do with offset..the wheel in the pic is a 15x8.5 w/ new polished lips from kodiak. mine is what his USED to be, a 15x7 (stock lips still). it's a 3 piece wheel, and i'll be replacing the lips this summer.

as i said before, this is all on a mad budget, and they won't get mounted until i get the H&R cup kit first. suspension first, tires next, finally mounted. tax return coming soon...perhaps within the next month or so, maybe a bit longer. nothing i can do about not having any money.

except maybe sell my body. any takers?

I had a NOS set of those in 13" that I sold to a guy with a VW rabbit.

 

I would really like to see a set of gold BBS' on a BOP xB. I think they would look cool as hell.
