Default LIGHTEST WHEELS?

Does anyone know the weight of the stock tC 17" wheels? I'm looking to replace my wheels with 18's or 19's and was curious if anyone had any suggestions. I own a Flint Mica tC and plan to go with a bronze or gun metal w/ machined lip look for my wheels but I would like the lightest ones possible. I'm aware the larger wheel will have a larger diameter and will make me a little slower but the tC isn't a light coupe by any means so I'd like to find the lightest wheel possible. I've checked out some Racing Hart's and PIAA's but I'm unsure of what the stock wheel weight is so I have way of comparing. Any feed back would be appreciated!

P.S. Why does it say "FUTURE SCION OWNER" next to my post? Is that a status thing or what?????????? I own a tC. A pretty nice one at that.................[/b]

I like Racing Hart. Particularly the C4 and the CP-035.

I think its in your profile options, where you would select what color of scion you have & what type. Then that little status thing should go a way.

If you are looking for light wheels. Forged Magnesium is what you are looking for BBS makes great wheels and use great technology. But you are looking to spend almost a G per wheel. the ones I am saving up to buy right now are 18x8 40 mm offset and weigh 20.1 lbs.

Thats a ok weight, but almost $1k a wheel?

Racing Hart CP-035R wheels are 18x7.5 @ 17.5LBs each. www.dazzmotorsports.com
G-Racing By Giovanna Seki wheels in 18x7.5 trim are 18.6LBs each. www.giovannawheels.com
Weld Racing, race lite R/S wheel in a 18x7 trimm is 13.4LBs each. www.weldracing.com

Volk racing has a range of wheels in the 16-18LBs range. www.mackinindustries.com www.gruppe-s.com www.upgrademotoring.com

* Some of this info was taken out of my August 2003 Sport Compact Car mag, so some of these wheels will more then likely not be made any more.

Each of those wheels are smaller than the 18x8 wheel, you didn't mention offset either. half an inch around an 18 inch diamater is a nice chunk of metal. SCCA drivers from all over use BBS wheels for their vehicles and wrx STIs come with BBS wheels. its a good wheel with a good reputation.

Well the link just took you to tirerack, but there are some light weight bbs wheels for the tc on their site. the list is in alphabetical order so just do some clicking or just do a direct search. But tire rack list the wheel weight.

You also might be able to find a www.centerlinewheels.com wheel in your size & weight. Most of the ones for sport compact that say they are light weight, are under 20LBs.

I know these aren't really as light weight as you would want, but I think they would look dope on a tC.

Motegi Trak Lite in 19 inches weigh only 18 lbs. You can get them in flat black, gunmetal, or gunmetal with a machined lip. Check them out at their website:
