Default lug nut Q

ok so I know our lug nut size is M12x1.5
but what size is the actual nut? like the diameter.

I remember using a socket long time a go for them and I think it was a 19mm, if that is right what size is that in standard?
like 3/4?

Be sure to use the right metric size if you're using air tools...

so basically it depends on what style lug nuts huh? I guess I will just measure the one that I have, and hope when I buy new ones they are the same size.
I was think and referring to the stock open end tapered ones that come on the steelies. I wanted to get some cheap chrome caps for them to make them look better, and they just snap on but I needed to know what size they are so I can get the right ones.
