Hey all,

I'm looking for aftermarket replacements for my TRD centercaps. Had new tires put on and when I went to get them balanced, the shop told me the screws were corroded and they had to break the screws to get the caps off. I'm not interested in trying to locate discontinued parts or paying an arm & a leg for them. If someone could point me in the right direction, I would be most appreciative

 

Well I can sell them to you for $15 each if you want and yes they are new. The part # is PTR28-52041. If you can find them somewhere else cheaper more power to you.

 

I say they were just too lazy to work them loose. All they had to do was spray them with some stuff made for this problem and wait for it to work. Did they go ahead and just break them off in the holes? I keep mine lubed for future reference.

 

Thanks for your comments I was looking at the caps and only every other screw came out - are the other ones just for show? I think I'll be ok - they did give me the screws they could get off but we'll see. TRDSparks: I'll keep you in mind if I end up needing to replace them

 

The in between ones are fakes. Just fo sho.
If you do replace them with new ones make sure to grease up the screws so they will not rust again.
You could also reuse the same caps and just go to Lowes and get new mounting screws.
