Need Nuts for Axis Oldskool
Hey guys, I just orderd oldskools. It was hard to decide which wheels I wanted to get, I changed my mind 10 times maybe but I finally decided to just go with these Now can't wait for the shippment.....
Anyway, as they'r machined black I guess I need some black lug nuts, but there's just sooo many and different sizes too. Could someone point me into good ones under $100 ? Also is there one nut that's different ? like for theft prevention ? I never bought any nuts before and don't know what too look/watch for...
thx for input guys
here's the wheel, I think black nuts should go with this

Your gona need a fender roller and some spacers too, exspecially if you lowered. But you can just go to a parts house were you live and tell them you need some tuner acorn style lug nuts, good to go!

with those I would go with black as well like you are thinking.
You will either need the open end tuner style lugs, or the spline drive style, depends on clearance on the wheel.
The open end tuner style are for less clearance then the spline drive.
Both styles use "keys" to put on and remove the nuts.
Open end style,
Spline drive style,
And for price that you are looking for and still good, you can't go wrong with some Gorilla lugs/locks.
They have some good info on the site with pics that should help you further in explaining the diff types and styles and what you will need/want. I have been using some of their black spline drive for a couple yrs now on one of the boxes, and have had zero probs with them.

Muteki is fine too. They make black ones as well. Remember. 12x1.5.
You shouldn't need to worry about rolling, the offset is +25 on those, that's within reason. But, you might need a 5mm spacer to clear the front brake caliper. At that point, you might consider putting in a spacer in the back to help keep em even. If you put a 10mm in back, that'll make it equivalent to a low offset 501 (+15) Some people rub, most don't. It really depends.
