But if someone had to save $600 for the Rota's they could have continued to save $1200 for the SSR or Work. I agree, they look nice and not everyone can afford to just drop the $ on the high end wheels, but with budgeting and saving, anything is possible. Good things come to those that wait.

I have a friend that makes $10/hr, has 2 kids, is married, boought a house, has a Mitsu Lancer for his wife (who only works part itme for $6/hr), and a RSX type S he has swapped over to 100% JDM Integra Type R, body and engine with a Jackson Racing supercharger and Work Emotion CR-Xt7's. He has over $20k into building it. So budgeting will work, if you have the patients and don't mind eating hot dogs all the time.

I agree with the comments above. To me, wheels are like shoes. Most people on here wouldnt rock some Fake Nike's because its just tacky. Like Rota's, youre biting the look of the real SSR SP1's but it makes your car look tacky.

Ahh, yes, you can really see the differences and similarities here.

SSR Professor Rota D2

Meister S1

Well, I still think the Rota D2's are a sick wheel for a fraction of the cost of the real deals.

Depending on the size and whether they are 1 peice, 2 piece, or 3 piece. And who you buy them from. Plus, you can always get a real nice used set from dealers that import them from Japan.

You may not see the differences in simple pictures, but there will be a big difference in quality, and weight.

wow, hold on. i dont think d2s will ever make ur car look tacky. only a handful of people will ever pay that close of attention to ur ride. havin the real thing is always cooler, but sometimes it makes no diff. people gotta understand that everyone has there own priority list. some people might put alot of $ into their system and cheap out on rims, other would use that cash on their wheels and cheap out on audio.

i would rock the d2s, but dont wanna put $ into camber or fender rolling right now. college is expensive

Alot of people mod their cars and there are only a handful that take the time to do things right. Im not saying that you need to spend the most money on your car, but taking pride in how you build your car is important. Driving by maybe nobody will be able to tell the difference. But at a stop light, in the parking lot, or at a meet, people do look for the details and if youre faking it, then youre going to get clowned. If you cant afford the real SSR SP1's or Work Meisters, I would just purchase a less expensive quality wheel or purchase used.

I personally do have Work Meister S1 wheels on my M3 and can justify it because the wheels cost is no where near the cost of the car.

It really all boils down to priorities. If you can afford to buy the more expensive wheels, why not. If you can't, then the Rota D2's will be perfect, IMO.

alright, I want a set in black.

I have progress coilovers dumped in the back 3.5-4" drop with OTG 3 degree camber shims, will I have any rubbing issues?

Where can I order? Price Shipped to 92082?

THANK!
Keith

to revive a previous post, the use of the word "clowned" should merit execution
