Regarding that one hot lava with the very wide 19s...I think I saw that car at Disneyland, with Roger Rabbit driving it over in Toon Town, lol...

That car is way too low for practical everyday street driving, it'll be scraping all kinds of things. And what's up with the major camber offset on those wheels? I'll be the first to say "the emperor has no clothes..."

But to each his own. And before people start flaming me for saying bad things about the car, just relax. Gotta take the good with the bad, that's what freedom of expression is all about. Now if the car wasn't so low, and if the camber was fixed, it could actually look pretty cool...

Guess you have never heard of air ride suspension socalxb?
The hot lava is sitting so low because he has the air ride suspension and cane raise and lower it with a hit of the switches.

By air ride do you mean air bags? I was wondering if any xB owner has done that yet. When the shop was installing my TRD springs, it looked like it was possible to put bags on the xB, provided they didn't need a pump for each bag.

So do the wheels straighten out if he raises the car? I'm dating myself here, but when I was growing up, lowriders with hydraulics were the rage. 'Course I was more of a '69 GTO street rod kind of guy, so I couldn't relate to the lowriders with the trunk full of batteries, rows of switches, tiny 100-spoke wire rims with equally tiny tires, etc. But, I am intrigued with the idea of air bags on an xB. Glad to see someone's actually done it...

Yes SocalXb I am talking of an air bag setup, I have already seen a few on Xb's at shows. The wheels setting in like that is considered Negative Camber, on a good air ride set up they will striaghten up when raised, some cheaper air ride setups will still have some camber when rolling.
I have been going to lowrider shows since I was 5 so hydros were always exciting to me, but now air ride is the way to go, and has been for the past few years.

Here are a couple of pictures of a custom air ride setup!

Nice pics. That green one being slammed with bags looks better than the orange one, because there isn't any "negative camber" like on the orange one. A lot of work went into that green one. I like how the trim around the DVD monitor matches the car, and the bag apparatus in the back is definite show material. It's interesting how the bags are up in the trunk, activating those rods that raise and lower the car. I'm wondering if anyone's done the stealth approach with bags, and put them under the car where they would normally go? I can see someone going the other way with an xB, lifting it with some off-road rims and tires a la mini hummer.
