Default Probably a silly question (permission to flame)

I just mounted my new 501's (15x8 et 15) and took them for a test spin. I only drove on em for about ten minutes or so. When I pulled back in my drive I went back over my lugs again just to make sure they were still tight. As I was checking them , I noticed the front rims were really really warm, hot even. I was just wondering is this normal or is something rubbing causing this heat. I didn't hear anything while driving. Is this just the heat from the brakes or could it be something else. I just wanna make sure. Flame suit on...thanks--Ken

Natural brake heat being dissipated. You just don't normally get out and touch your rims.
