Default Question about rims and tires

Hey everybody,
I have some 17" tenzo shu 4's, i believe they are 17x7 and have like a 40 or 42 offset. I currently have 205/40/17 VISA tires on them. I am thinking of moving up to a 215/45/17 tire. I'll be throwing tein SS coilovers on next week so i want to get the tires before then. My question is 1). can i get 215/45/17 on that rim, and 2). is the 215/45/17 a wise move? I'm concerned about cleaarance also. I have 5mm spacers fopr my front and 10mm One Ton Garage shims for the back. Please help need opinions.

-Thanks everyone
Daniel

moved to tread and butter.

1. Yes
2. For comfort yes. I dont know why it would be bad. Clearance, you should be fine. If it rubs a little, oh well you can raise or lower with coilovers till its gets perfect.
