Question about shims/spacers
1. What's the dumbed down difference between the two
2. What size would I need for the stock xb wheels to make them flush with the body?
Thanks in advance guys!
(oh, and I hear otg's are the best?)

OTG are the most reputed here on SL.
spacers/shims are pretty much the same thing i believe. spacers typically push only the wheels out and thus may create problems with the studs not being long enough. however, OTG's spacer shims mount behind the whole wheel hub assembly and push out that whole assembly, thus keeping the standard stud length applicable for wheels.

damn, i just found this thread after i jacked someone elses thread asking about the same issue.17x7, what offset is the wheel? If it is a 40 then the 10mm spacer shims (actually they are 3/8'' thick which would be 9.53 mm.that should make the rear body flush.

Im not sure the offset...Cant find that info anywhere? But Ive seen people do 15mm with sportmax 17x7 and they are flush! Thats the 10mm hub shim and 5mm wheel spacer. Most likely what ill do as long as there are no safety issues with that!
