Question about wheel offset?

Question about wheel offset?
I am in need of new boots for my 04 xb.
I am looking to put on 18s.
I want the wheels to kind of jut out/ have a wide tire because I am planning on getting a wide bodykit and dropping the suspension 2 inches at most.
I suppose I am looking for a large wheels offset, correct?
Has anybody had any experience with this?

looks like you have a plan, but in the wrong order(IMHO)....
Ride height
widebody kit
wheels.
Whats you timeline to complete what you want versus what you need?
If you buy 18"s that will stick out for your wide body and don't do it for two years and don't drop it till later. Your car will look like ____!
To put low profile 18"s on and leave a stock wheel gap should be a crime!
If you have a long timeline to complete what you want in the end, For what you would spend on your new 18"s and rubber you could replace your 15" rubber and drop the car and be one step forward and next time you need tires again you might have our widebody done and then you will know what you are looking for in your new 18"s and rubber.
Fitment is everything when it comes to the LOOK!
With big plans like yours, you better think things through or you will be spending alot of time and money getting new stuff to get it all to fit together.

Your kinda going the wrong way with this, allow me to kinda point you in the right direction
Step 1. Slam it down and take your hubcaps off
Step 2. take your time and pick out what body enhancements you want to make, as these may (hell, probably) will wind up scraping the ground even if your careful
Step 3. Choose a style wheel that you like (# of spokes, spoke design, lip, yada yada yada)
Step 4. Choose a size that not only fits into your budget (remember tires dont last forever) and fits the look of the car
Step 5. Grab chair and beer, sit on beer while sipping chair in your garage, staring at your beautiful car... (I think I may have said that backwerds)
