I told you that was the stretch you were looking for. The 215/40 would not give you what you want. The 205/40 will treat you much better. HAHA.

215/40 is very conservative. I drive my 215/35 on a 8.5 everyday and this 205/40 on a 8.5 will be driven over a 100+ miles everyday. You will have no problems Peabe.

btw- I use to daily drive a 215/35 on a 9.5, with no problems.

You're not a tard......................just one of the many who have seen the light!

I just have to remember not to park near Mark anymore!

Man bBoxd..you are really backing those 205/40s. You getting some sort of kickback for getting people to stretch tires? If so, I want in on this "arrangement".

If you didn't have a kit, I'd say go 205/40 and dump your Tein Basics. But because you have a very aggressive kit, I would go with 215/40.

What are the offsets? If you can find pics of Opr8r's car, he had 215/40 on 17x8.5 +17 on the front with -2deg camber. You can see it is nice and snug with a 3"? drop. 205/40 might have more of a gap....

[Edit: I stand corrected, Opr8r was running 205/40.]

205/40-17

OMG can i make it anymore clear. HEHEHE. Im just messin around with you guys.

I like the look of the 205/40. IMHO 215/40 doesnt stretch enough really.

Peabe- My recommendation would be... Run a 205/40 all around, run some OTG spacer shims, some OTG Camber shims stacked in the rear, get on AIR and you will be perfect.

AHHHAHAHAHAHA! I will send you a check every month if you can convert at least 1 person a month to stretch on low wide offset wheels. HEHEHE! Who else wants in?

Man, 205/40 does looks nice! But relative to the Fabulous bB, won't it look too small? The Fabulous website shows 225/35-18 right?

Have you test fit them yet? To see how much clearance you have? Maybe, you can let neccesity make your decision... Just stretch tires enough for clearance.

What air setup are you thinking about? Are you planning on runnning camber front and rear?

Once he gets on AIR they will not be too small. Actually if you run a fatter tire it will give a "Smaller" appearance. More stretch will make your rim look bigger as it accentuats your lip size. But that only happens when your fenders are sitting on your tire.

Peabe- I think i know what kit you are talking about. heheh.

Yes, that is my living room.

Oh yeah, I meant smaller in terms of gappage. With 205/40, you will need to go even lower than the Fabulous bB. You're right though, AIR will solve all your problems
