Rim size
Im planing to buy a new set of rims for my 05 xb. Only problem is what size i should get it. Im thinking of either 16x8 or 16x7..and the type of rims im going to get is either drag dr20 with a +10 offset..or axis oldskool..i know that dr20 come with 15x7 or 16x7..which 1 would look better? And axis oldskool comes only with 15x8 with a +25 offset..which one do u guys think would look sick? I really like the axis oldskool but im not sure if 15" is too small for my car..and im not sure if i should get the 16" because im scared it might rub..oh by the way im planing to lower my box with tein coilover kit..so does any1 have any great suggestions?? Thnx

It all depends on the tire size. I was at one point looking for a 16x8 +25 wheels to fit 205/50-16 tires. Then I looked for a 15x8 + 25 wheel to fit 205-55-15 tires on them. I figured that +25 was the lowest offset that I could do on either one to run a tire size that kept the speedometer somewhat accurate. Now I'm looking for a 15x7 +15 to +20 to fit OEM sized 185/60-15 tires on them to save gas & still look kinda proper. Hahaha!
I think that wheel setups with less offset than those that I listed will start to rub if you don't roll the fenders or add camber. If you run a smaller tire, then if will probably fit without having to roll, but now your speedometer will be out of whack. Usually it's from running smaller tires. As it is, the OEM sized tires seem to be smaller than what they are actually supposed to be. Like when you are doing 60 MPH on your speedometer, you are probably moving at about 53 to 55 MPH realistically. You have to go faster, waste more gas, & add more miles to your odometer to get the proper realistic speed. Like do about 65 MPH to about 68 MPH to actually be doing about 60 MPH with smaller than OEM tires.
