What kind of tire gloss did you use for this pic? Does it spit a lot?

I used Chapstick... lol

I think it was Black Magic tire gel in the silver bottle applied with a tire dressing applicator sponge. Minimal spitting...

Bottoming out

Which touring tire in size 195/45 would you recommend?

look into Dunlop. or the Falken st115. <--I use the Falken. still directional, but the tread is well laid out. bcherry has them on his sportmaxs.

Dunlop is extremely popular on wagons and vans too. The LM703 that we unfortunatley don't get here.

Yes it is... I have Tanabe DF210s with the bumpstops removed for about 10k miles (long story short, a body shop who repaired a minor fender bender didn't reinstall my bumpstops causing the fronts to sag). Now, I reinstalled the bumpstops and the springs broke themselves in lower than usual. My buddy with the same springs sits about an inch higher than mine.

I bought the rims locally from some guy who purchased 2 sets from http://www.c2auto.com

I got pretty lucky because I saved on shipping and the wait... looks like there is still a waiting list to get them in gold.

I purchased the tires from some local shop.

They look great. I want to run the same drop as you. My question is how much rubbing do you get in the rear with no passengers?

No rubbing in the rear unless I have passengers. Fronts do rub though... need to have them rolled out. I mildly rolled out all corners but not enough to completely stop the rubbage. From what I hear, rubbing will always be a concern unless I cut up the fenders and install fender flares.
