Default Stock steel wheel weight

A couple of weeks ago, I had a flat that was not repairable. So I needed a new tire with only 450 miles on it...

I noticed how fricken heavy the stock wheels are... Does anyone know the weight of them?

I found some alloy wheels, same size that weigh about 16.5 pounds. If this is a significant savings over the steel , I think I will have to get them....

thanks in advance.

Sorry I don't have the answer, here's a free bump though. ;)

Out of curiosity, which wheels were you looking at? 16.5 lbs isn't bad. Have you seen these suckers though on tirerack? Only 10.6 lbs, hunfitty bucks, and would be a wild accent color on a white xB. They also have a more subtle silver and light gray, but I can't say anything to the quality of that manf. *shrugs*

Thanks for the bump.. I was looking at the Borbet wheels. Found them on tirerack. I am going to go with the stock size, so that helps keep the weight down. They look much nicer and I am assuming they are much lighter... I am hoping someone ha this info on here..

or these 15x6.5 ones at 12 lbs

Dang, I've been looking and looking for a set of wheels that hit me just right and these Konigs just did it. I plan to slam the box this weekend 1.5" so I'll start searching for the best place to get wheels like those.
