i've noticed from pictures that alot of people seem to have diff. tires and i know not everyone went out and bought new ones. what kind of tires did your tc come with? mine came with firestone potenzas.

they aren't too great in the snow, but if you drive slow enough, you'll do fine. wet traction, decent...i have no problem with mine
only problem i had in the snow was at every stop light when i got ready to go they tires spun, and i wasn't stomping on the gas either, i was just easing into it like normal.
I believe the RS 1.0 has Pirelli P-Zeros Nero MS but don't quote me on that. Pirelli's are the ____, when my stocks are worn out, I'm getting those.
what is the best tire: michelin, good year, pirelli???? or can u really label any tire as being the best tire.
i'd go with the pirelli pzero nero m&S.. i replaced the potenzas with these.. awesome tires.. they weigh less (helps with fuel economy) and the suspension is quicker to react to things.. they weigh 2 lbs less than the same sized potenzas..
i can see why they are on the upgraded 18" package.. they are awesome tires.. i went with the stock size of 215/45-17.. couldn't be happier..

im using mine until i need new ones, i was just curious as to why i saw so many different tires on cars that were new.
well my stock tires were yokohamas s32a.. dont' know if they were suppose to come with those.. or what... i wonder if anyone else got the same tires...

After buying new tires you realize how much the stock Potenzas suck. I run 225/45/18 Kumho Ecsta ASX's on my street wheels and 225/45/17 Falken Azenis on my track (stock) wheels. Both my new sets have soooo much better traction than the stock tires.
I just got black Rota Slipstreams for my box, and am going to use the stock tires until they wear out some more. Can't justify the price right now.
I'd advocate some really light 15" wheels. I can really feel the difference in acceleration. The box feels a whole lot lighter than it did before. I won't be racing it, but given how lethargic it can feel this makes a huge difference.

Mine came with the Potenzas.. which are fair to poor tires IMO after driving on them for a while. Some are coming with the yokos, which I hear are better. The potenzas are also way overpriced for the quality as well. My next set will be the pirrellis i believe
after not having the road hazard warranty from firestone, having had to replace a Potenza RE92, for $215, I will be replacing these tires with a much better tire...
the only saving grace about the potenza's are the rim guard.
that's it.
So when I either a: get new wheels, b: ruin another tire, or c: just decide to replace them and sell the old ones, I'll be getting a set of BFGoodrich g-Force KDW-2 's
Living in Texas, theres not much of a winter, so performance tires will last year round.
however, there are sudden downpours and standing water, and I don't feel the potenza's are capable of being a good tire when its wet.
Compared to the Potenza's, the KDW's have an extremely good wed traction and a MUCH better dry traction
they've also got the rim guard as well. for about $100 less per tire.
Z Rated, a little heavier than the potenza's (1/2 pound each) ... but well worth it for me
the Potenza's are also backordered throughout the country at the moment, and I need a replacement tire soon for my passenger side ....

but for a tire capable of taking pretty much anything I'm going to go with the BFGoodrich
