Default What about the wheels?

Of course, I can't afford a new set of wheels right now, so I'm going with whatever I can do with less than $100.

I've seen people going with just the stock steels then as my poll says, there's lots you can do with them.

I have an 05 xB (black cherry), with blue neons under.

Yea, dude, anything goes.

I've rolled A,B & C
If I were you, I'd drop a coat of wax on the steelies and do rings and lugs. It looks decent at a stop, and when the wheel's in motion, it looks really good.

I'm rolling on painted caps right now (winter) I'd do rings again, but I'm too lazy to order a new set... HA!

Sorry to bring up a dead topic...but I figured since I started it, why not!?

I found a place I can get 4 of the Chrome (color coated) on ABS plastic trim rings for $23. Compared to the steel rings at $60. I'm trying to go inexpensive right now, since I do want to get new wheels/tires at the start of next school semsester. Do you think those would hold up? For a year at max? Also, I had my hubcaps off the other day, and the wheels look a bit ugly. Hah, from the hubcaps rubbing when placed on the wheel, it looks like the paint is faded/worn. Should I have them repainted? Repaint myself? Or just wax/shine?

Where can I get the caps for the center? One of mine is a bit rusted, so I definitely want to get it covered.

Thanks!

Save your money and get the stainless ones. You'll be way happier. Check ebay for stainless ones, I got my set for 20 bucks shipped.

So I won these stainless steel trim rings: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...257392062&rd=1 but now I want to get the caps for the center, and I'll replace the lugnuts later, possibly. Where can I find center caps for my car? Could someone post a link to center caps for me?

Thanks!

NP, it should have all the part numbers, where and whats needed to whip those steelies into shape for the summer.
Here is a pic of mine for inspiration.

Exactly right. The steelies would look way better painted silver before the rings, caps and chrome lugs are added.

Personally, I think painted steelies is a great, cost affective way to spice up your ride. For us xA/xB owners, sticking with a 15" size is also great. My future set up will be a 2-tone painted steelie w/ winter tire (possibly could incorperate the Full Moon alum. hub caps as well). My summer wheel will be a super-lightweight 15" alloy, with a good summer tire(BFG, Yoko S-drive... something along this level).

So I now have the Stainless Steel trim rings, center cap, lugs, and the valve caps too. It looks great, but now I need to paint the steelies black again, because they're looking old. But besides that, the xB looks AMAZING!
