Default White Walls...Yes!

Been thinking about it for a bit and finally did it. Skinny white walls...Then I had them widened. 14" steelies with 185/70-14 Fisk classic tires. $49 a wheel and $49 a tire! Discount had them in stock even.

I wanted them wider too but "those tires" would be special order and $168. Actually the skinny whites had grown on me, but the more I look at the present width, the more I like em'.

I don't like the skinny ones. They look like the tires I used to see on old Buicks and stuff.
If you're going to get the whitewalls, might as well do it right.

Actually "back in the day" this width was "right". They were called "inches". Wider white walls were a thing of the 50's and earlier hotrods. These days you just don't see any white walls. I think it looks ominous...

My wife makes old jokes all the time. And it wouldn't be the first time if you just called me a nerd. "Gangsta"...I got it. In my garage I called it "Mobbin". Thanks for helping me out.

Actually, just to be a pedantic jerk, white walls would be "gangster," rather than "gangsta."

...and I like the look. I think that's the first time I've seen skinny white walls on a box, actually.

White walls and raised white letters need to come back into common use; I'm not spending $200 per tire with Coker Tire for a look.

...but I'm seriously eyeing some BFG Radial T/As: http://www.tyrespec.co.uk/products/I...dial%20T-A.jpg
They come in 195/60-15, too! They aren't super expensive, either. I'm going to be buying summery tires at some point while the snows are on later this year, anyway.

Hey, thanks for the compliment! I say bring em' back. White walls and raised white letters! They have a character of their own. Sure are a lot less expensive, and the ride isn't nearly as rough either.

I think it looks really good.

Now you just need some spacers for the rear wheels.

they are kinda growing on me too, wish they would have put the wheel weights on the inside of the wheel though, thats what keeps drawing my eye everytime I look at the car.

And yes raised white letters for the win.

Wheel weights drew my attention immediately too. They said they'd move them, just been busy. I think they figured they were my "winter wheels" even though it's summer soon.

I've always liked your flat paint. I thought about doing that with the classic red and white or light gray pin striping. Are those the factory 15" steelies? How does the air suspension ride with that set up? I keep thinking I want to go lower, but realistically I don't want to spend $2K right now...
