I've seen a few black cars with white rims, and it looks amazing if the car can pull it off. I think the xb could depending upon the rim. I think a white rim w/ 2-3'' lip would look extremely well on a bsp.

Black w/ chrome lip, a very dark green w/ polished lip, silver/alloy colors, gunmetal, grey all looks great on black cars.

If you want to look great, and keep original i think you should try white. But you can't just pick any white rim being its a black car, it really has to fit well and look like its supposed to be there. White rims on a black car can be hard to pull off, but it looks out-standing if done with style and taste.

depends on how dedicated to keeping your car clean you are...if you're lazy, no, if you're like me, yes.

Yes! I had white ones for over a year and they looked OK but never stayed clean for very long. White would look good on BSP but so do other style wheels. It would look too much like a MINI. IMO Just get what your heart tells you and heck you could alway strip them down like me and paint them any color you want down the road.
