The same rims in i have in the same setup as your will give me a 69mm lip.
Actually, I think the design of the wheel can affect how big of a lip you can get. Your Volks and these Eurolines can have different size lips even with the same size/offest/disk thickness.

But, you're right, I don't think the 17x8 et25 have 4in lips. That must be the front wheels. The rears must be super low disk, 8.5in wide and around 20 offset.

So jdmjim, what are the specs? how far off was I ? what size tires you got on there? 215/45/17? Lookin good, once you get the Tein's in, it'll look 100x better!

okay, fronts are 17x8 +25 a-disc. backs are 17x9 +20 o-disc. I think the offset and disc affect the lip size solely based on wheel design. I ordered these wheels thru a small company in Chicago. THis place primarily deals in 240- sr-20 swaps. These guys pretty much have the JDM look down. We had worked hard to get the right look and offset for my car. We even checked with onetongarage to be sure eveything will fit. The fenders will get rolled and pulled. the car will sit on low with these wheels. I know the car is 4x4 and all. I do say that most everyone driving near me is staring hard. I am not looking for a bashing here with this whole lip thing and all, but they are out there. Even my buddy said that the wheels don't look like much in pics. Bt you walk up to the car and they fall out of the wheel well. THat for looking and I will continue to progress with this car. I will own the JDM look of the bB in Chicago.

Wheels look good. I'm not really that into the whole "jdm" thing so maybe this a dumb question but your wheels look european, are called "Eurolines" but are made in Japan so they're jdm? I dont get it?

Yeah, Work does great things for the European car market in Japan. I was about to get a kit for my E320 from them, but then I thought I'd better not cause if a real E55 ever pulled up beside me, I'd be a dead duck!

with a 9" wheel and a +20 offset, it would be mathematically impossible to have a 4" lip.

Correct me if im wrong..

half of 9" is 4.5 which = is 114.4mm then you want to subract 20mm for the offset that brings it to 94.4mm. A 4" lip would = 101.6 mm. That means you have a -7.3mm discrepancy and a hubless wheel like the chopper guy in florida

i would think 3" at the most depending on how thick the face is. Thats still a lot of fender flaring if you plan to slam it without camber plates.

Regardless, nice lip.

Denny, According to Work Website you can have 100mm front depth (lip) and that's very close to 4", on 9" wheel with +20 offset on 0-disk, but these wheels on the picture are not even clso to that, I don't know which wheel he has on picutre, but the wheel with ruler has only about 2" 3/4 and that is 75mm wich is correct for 17x8 +25 A-disk !!! Here just a little more clarifiction, The lip of most JDM wheels are polished, and that's the part you want to measure !! here a very good example of 4.5" lip on 9.5" wheel (I know its not JDM but its one of the most popular wheel in japan) Sean

Sean, yes i know that. offset is measured from the centerline of the wheel and the back of the face. You do the math. Thats all i was saying.

You guys are way too picky about things. Just enjoy with me what I am creating. Damn. The tape measure is on the rear wheel the sticker is from the front wheel for authenticity puposes. Christ, the measure is from the face to the edge of the wheel. Sorry to have confused eveyone. I guess I can keep my ideas to myself. I am also so sorry to not have a clear enough pic to really see the measurement is 4 inches. I didn't expect this much critizism from people. Are you picky cuz you don't have them????? WHat gives?????

everyone has their opinion about something.. people love to criticize everyone else
even when their rims can't even compare to yours.

thats just how the internet is.. EVERY car forum is like that, u got ____ talkers
rocking some fake ___ rims on some regular old car. when u compare part for part,
their cars might even be inferior to your car, BUT they'll say anything they can.

i honestly wouldn't have my car that high looking, EVER, but thats just my opinion.
when u throw your car up, be prepared for people who are gonna totally hate..
im just glad i can say, another person hopped on the 'rims that fit right' catagory.

fake ___ rims, or wheel max special rims are just digusting to look at,.. more scion
tuners want quantity not quality, you have a good start, just do what u want.
i always fix up my car for myself and myself only, if people hate my car, then more
for them, i rather have them hate my car, then to bite my style

Bingo junior, I think everyone is just jealous of you and how hard you roll...I mean not everyone can be as mad tyte as you right?

Maybe someone didn't nurture you enough as a kid--but hey at least you have wheels with "a 4 inch lip"--and now everyone HAS to think you are cool!!!

Opinions are like _______s, everyone has got em.

Oh yea--the monster truck rally called--they want their XB back.

Hey Dude, Hope you didn't get my words as bashing or anything, I know you paid a lot for your set up and that's what you liked, there are people who are getting really nice stuff but they don't post any info about them cause they are doing them for themselves (for example JDMxB and hahajoey, they are both running very nice JDM wheel setup but no one ever seen them talk or post about them) so if you post your setup, you will get all kinds of respond from people, and you better be ready to accept them, because there is always one person who has done it before you in some way !!! Take care Sean
