Default XB Brake Pad install

I hope this is the right section for this post! I am going to be installing some Axxis brake pads on my car when they come in and I wanted to see if anyone had any tips or tricks for me?

easy as a prostitute on saturday night.

On the real note, compress the caliper piston before you do anything. Stick a flat head into the rotor and compress that piston!

NOPE. i believe a 14 socket, and a wrench(dont know what size) and a flat head will get it all done for you.

I am also thinking about putting a how to up with pictures when I do it, but I am not sure if anyone will find this useful. If anyone wants me to do that then let me know if I don't hear anything then I will just assume it isnt needed.

the second link shows how to change out the rotor, but the first few steps are the steps taken to change the brake pads.

Default Pads

I would recommend to turn (grind) your rotors if your going to the trouble of putting on pads.
$16 at Pep Boys - cheap enough, guarantees a much better brake job. I just did mine a few months ago - easy - now they work better than new. I believe there is a tutorial on rotor replacement which is excellent.
A writeup on pad replacement would be great!

I just installed my new Axis brake pads about a week and a half ago, but after putting them on I am getting a chirping/squealing noise when I get around 40 MPH. If I just ever so slightly touch my brakes the noise goes away for about 2-3 minutes. When I am on the interstate doing 70 I hear nothing, and when I am stopping I hear nothing and feel no rubbing. I have been checking my rotors and I see not signs of wear on the rotor. I guess the real question is if you guys think that this could be due to the Axis brake pads being a more high performance pad and maybe being a little thicker so it is touching? Any one else have this problem? Please help!!!
