Default **HELP** HID Installation ??????

Hello all! This is my very first post on here. I have a 2005 Scion XB 1st gen. And I'm trying to install an HID Lighting system on it but running into some problems. Well actually 1 problem with the wires going into the ballast and connecting to the cars original light bulb plug. The connection adapter has there extra red and black wires sticking out. I have no idea what to do with them??

This is an extra set of bulbs and ballasts from Xentec I believe. I tested out the ballasts and they both work.

the extra red and black wires is wired for the high beams that you will no longer have with that hid kit. So just tape the wires off and don't use them

make sure you have the correct polarity on everything. Check the wire that connects from your oem harness into the ballast. you can easily plug it in with the polarity flipped on the ballast side.

Looks like you have the polarity reversed. The Black/White wire is a ground signal but from the pic you posted it looks like it connects to the Red wire to the ballast. The HID kits are usually not plug and play when it comes to Toyotas.

actually looking at it, the company that made the h4 plug adapter that plugs into the stock h4 plug made it wrong. the High beam wires and the low beam wires are switched. so try to turn the high beams on and they should light up.

If you have a small, flathead screwdriver, you can swap the pins on that male H4 connector. That should do the trick.
