I really don't see what is so cool about the streched tire look. to me it looks bad. but I will give you props cause the box is looking good. to each their own, us PW's stick together no matter what.

Welly well, you're in luck. I feel like telling you about stretched tires.
Ahem, If my tire was square, I wouldn't be able to drive because every little bump in the road would cause my tires to be gouged. Not to mention, in the front, I wouldn't be able to turn for obvious reasons(at least I think it's obvious).

Now, with stretched tires, I can actually not worry about gouging my tires or anything. Ohh ohh and I can now turn!! Woohoo

So it isn't as much about being "cool" as it is about functionality. But I still think it looks cool.

Ain't that the truth!!! i've seen some wack applications but didn't say anything cause i'm not here to hate. camber is a side effect of lowering, which in itself is a side effect of the suspension geometry, and helps out a vehicles handling when setup right, but these shims are not for anyof these reasons and definetly not just for aesthetics. there is a specific reason for extreme camber in the rear and it's side effect is, it is aestheticly "cool". function over form........

You're awesome for trying out the 25mm spacers on 16x9! You def got the Euro "poke" look down  That's amazing that it doesn't rub

Camber or not, it looks good. No camber = Euro style, camber = JDM style. It's all good. I think with the camber shims in, you'd look just like the red NKB bB!

Your license plate lights appear to be very bright. Do you have special lights back there, or is it just me?

is there any complications with streched tires? for example, like tire bead unseating? more chance of curbing rims?

I would rather do the streched tire than the camber if I had a choice. But like I said, the box looks good and that's all that matters.

Your box looks so good that I kinda wish I had bought one! Evidently I am the only person on the planet who has no clue what VIP styling is all about. I just thought it looked kinda silly and the extreme camber looked like a pig in high heels. LOL This is because us 'ol farts were influenced by the innovations of the southern cali guys in the late 50s & 60s. ( We used to wait at the drugstore on the magazine delivery day for the latest issue of Hot Rod, Car Craft, etc.) The old styles were basically clean, that is devoid of anything that was deemed clutter on non-functional. Chopped, channeled & shaved on big rubber! This box has captured that philosophy extremely well. The only addition is that they would probably have chopped the top. While the various approaches are interesting and unique, IMHO, "clean is mean," but variety & individualism is definitely more interesting. Thanks for letting a 'ol dawg ramble. And thanks to http://www.vipstylecars.com/newsite/ for a quick education.

complications with stretched tires will vary on how STRETCHED they are. if you're concerned with this then check the tire manufacturer specs. they'll usually have a big table of specs that include ideal tire sizes or minimum/maximum tire sizes on a certain width rim. you may notice at it's limit though, a stretched tire may get quite squirrely if you're not used to the feeling. response will be more immediate and corrections will be less forgiving. BUT we drive an xB so we aren't going to be driving THAT fast are we??

the stretched tire look is something quite trendy now days since a lot of japanese influence is flooding in more then ever (i'm not saying it originated from there but there is a heavy influence). main reason why they stretch the tire is to tuck as much wheel/tire under the fender as possible when you normally couldn't do that with a tire that stuck out even if not more then the rim itself. add tons of camber and you've got yourself a killer combo.
