I think this post points out a big part of this: Lexus - same as Toyota, Toyota same as Scion. It's all the same folks. The only thing that stands in the way of it being a Lexus is someone at Toyota thinking that someone will pay $35,000 for the same car with a Lexus symbol and a little more trim.

I've worked in car sales for years and can tell you if you bought into the marketing that paying more for the same thing (same company tech), then you are a puppet! Sorry, that’s just the truth. Look at companies like GM, they now have a GM badge on the side of all their cars: Caddie, Hummer, Chevy Aveo.....

I love it! I'm going to do it to mine, I was driving around the other night and had the idea, got on here and see a lot of others did to. I was lol thinking about it and can't believe someone would be mad about the idea. If a Lexus driver is upset by it, its probaly because he knows he could have got a Camry instead of a 350 and paid off his baby’s moms with that cash. Don’t get me wrong I love nice cars, I’m into high end markets, but acting like a Lexus symbol on a Scion is a sin is just a little much…….

someone in Augusta drives a Marix with Lexus badges front and back. I had a double WTF moment the first time that I saw it.

You have big shoe's to fill. I like it, but only if you actually do everything possible to make it Lexus like. Badges are useless if you don't have anything to back it with(interior especially). If it has the emblems but nothing else, it's just rice! When people look at your car, make them seriously wonder if it is a Lexus.

I was thinkin of doing that too.
It was either Lexus or Mercedes-benz emblems.
People ask who makes Scion all the time so why not mess with people a little.

No. In fact it would be more correct than the Scion badge that comes on it. The Scion name is just a marketing idea to change peoples perception that they might hold that Toyota is a car that thier parents drive. Thus, young people see Scion as something of thier own, they come to find the Toyota quality to be great and are set to buy the brand when they get older.

Lexus badge; Toyota badge, BB badge... hell, everyone rocks a BB badge on this forum as if they went shopping for the car in Japan. Everyone is so ashamed to have a "XB" badge, nobody even calls it a XB anymore.

It's the same as rocking a Cadillac badge on a brand new GMC. If you make the payments, you customize the car to your liking. Make like nuts and bolts... and screw everybody else!

I thought about putting the "L" on my tC (as soon as I knew I was getting this car), but since I wasn't sure which ones would fit and I couldn't find and the Black Pearl "L" by themselves. I ended up shaving the back of mine and still have the "Scion" emblem on the front painted Flint Mica. I won't lie though, I probably put the "L" on mine if I found it in the right size; since my name does start with a "L".

But anyway I say stratch the sticker, Lexus don't rock those kind of stickers. really kills it.

I have bB emblems on my xB, and I've had them since day 2 of having my xB. If I could go shopping in Japan for a bB, hell I would! I've wanted bB emblems on my xB since I first saw the bB. Rocking a cadillac emblem on a GMC is TOTALLY different than having a bB emblem on a xB.

No its not! A Cadillac Escalade is the same thing as a GMC Yukon Denali.

Do as you please. What make you happy with your box just do it. You can't please everyone. Also one of my friend with an Xb also has a "L" emblem. To each his own.
