Default Advice on CF pillars and visors

I need some input/recommendations on what to do...

I have the CF pillar appliques installed on my xB, but now I want to put the ES style window visors on the doors. The tape will be going directly over/on the appliques, which most likely will distort the fit of the visor itself, since the applique is a raised piece.

Does anyone on here have both installed? How did you work around this? Or will I have to take the appliques off in order for everything to look decent?

Personally I don't have both of them together. I have the Es style window visor only. I have seen that people with these two appliques together, they would only cut the CF pillars as needed for Es windown visor to fit. So that the visors will fit flush with the door. Imagine it first, measure twice and cut once. Hope everything goes good.

I made a 1/8" shim in the shape of the windwos and applied it to the window edges. Then applied the visors on top of the shim.

I have both on with no problems what-so-ever (no cutting of the cf pillar). The tape that comes with the ES visors are very good.

I have both too, but what I did was install the visors first then cut the c/f pillars. I wouldnt suggest it, but I got lucky with my cutting. LOL.

yah, i've seen some with cut cf pillars and it didn't look too pretty. so that led me to just overlapping it, and it turned out great.

Im running mine with the pillars cut. they fit tight against the visor and you can't even see the cut.
you should check them out at the Marysville meet

Well, I successfully installed the visors. No cutting, and I'm really happy with it:

To help out others that may search:

What I ended up doing is getting some more 3M molding tape and building it up on the visors in-between the CF pillars on the back windows to closely match the thickness (it took 2 extra layers). Then on the front visors I made "steps" of molding tape... 3 layers at the CF pillar, then 1/3 of the way down reduced to 2 layers, then the last 1/3rd, just the original tape. That way the visor isn't sticking WAY out at the front of the door. Worked really well!

i also did that the first try, but with the weather here, it didn't work too well. i ended up taking the extra layer off and just using the tape it came with.

Hmm, interesting. Was it because the rain sits on the tape? That'll suck if it doesn't stick for long. I guess I'll just watch it and see what happens.

yah one day as i was getting out of my car, i happened to look at the visor and it was sticking out (middle section only where i used the extra layer). so i pressed it back on. the following day, it dit it again so i decided to just take all the extra layers off. luckily i did it early enough that the original tape still had super strength to stick on.
