Air vent kit for stock fog light holes on xB
I like to modify but I can't go extreme. However, most of the xBs I see don't have OEM fog lights. I am looking at that blank where the fog lights go and I am thinking that something could go there. I am not an engineer but I am think someone could make a pop-in vent to go where the fog light blanks are. It should sell if it is made so that an idiot (me) could pop them in and doesn't cost to much.
I can see where some people would want that. I think I would. What do you think? Have you heard of such a kit. Perhaps a billet grill kit for the stock holes...
{ If someone engineers a kit for this based on my suggestion; could I get a freebie? }

I made my own, but believe I saw an xB on cardomain.com that said they had purchased a set. There are 608 xB's to look through, and no search, so it could take some time. Some complain about the search on scionlife, but it is gobs better than "none". Thanks for the search option.

i know weapon-r has a ram air kit...but for cheap you can do what i did in my 90 integra..go to a salvage yard find a zx3 ford focus and take the ram air from that...then what you have to do is cut the strap that holds the part not the tube and turn it around(spin 180) and re zip tie..then place it under the front lip or were you like.....and run the tube to the intake...also the pice has to holes allready so you use those ...im in the process of getting one so ill post pics when i do...

I have a prototype fibreglass duct that utilizes the foglight cover and the opening, but I haven't gone into production w/ it. I guess I should make a few to see if anyone is interested.

Max, my ducting doesn't go as far back as its for the short ram intakes. Its been sitting idle for over a year now. I guess there's interest now. I made mine so during the warmer summer months the air would blow in directly from the front of the car. But, I noticed I could already see the filter from the middle grille, that's why I shelved the project.

I made one that is similar for mine. Here is one picture of it and if you go to my Car Domain page (link at the bottom) there are more. Also, I do know Gary from Nish Designs sells one made out of just mesh. It looks pretty good but if you have a light colored car you may have to paint the inside of the hole black so you don't see the edges. www.nish-designs.com

Very easily made - though kinda ghetto.
I bought a new pre-painted BSP fog light cover from the dealer (~$35).
Using a hole saw I drilled a hole in the center at both ends and used a dremel to cut out the middle section, leaving a long oval hole in it.
Using that hole as a template, I cut out a piece of plastic home gutter cover that fits the hole perfectly and used a hot glue gun to attach it after I painted it black.
I then took a sheet of real carbon fiber and cut a similar, but slightly smaller, oval hole and attached it to the front with 3M double face tape.
You can stop there if you want and it will look fine, but I went a little further and fabricated the inside of the "scoop" out of a sheet of textured black ABS plastic. It help hide the inside of the fog light area and makes it look more finished when installed.
I also made one for the other side that has no hole - just carbon fiber. Makes them stand out a little better when both sides matched.
I also mounted purple LEDs inside the scoop hole. The whole thing glows purple at night.
Total for the entire project was about $80 for both sides using new fog light covers. I wanted to keep my original yellow ones in case I wanted to go back to stock down the road sometime and you cant get pre-painted yellow ones from the dealer.
