hey im going to order these projectors and was wondering am i going to be ok with my stock bulbs for a while.as i do drive in the dark to work.

i have these adn i still have the bulbs they came with
they are ok
im just too poor to get HIDs

 

yea i was just wondering if they put out enough light for alot of night driving on dark butt country roads....lol
where the deer and elk like to roam....

i am using these and they are great once you get em aimed (if they are not aimed properly when you recd them, mine weren't but others were fine). light output is fine, cutoff is excellent, if you do want more output, move to hid in the future.

 

they put out good light if you upgrade to a decent bulb
silverstars or similar
they are even better with hids

They're fantastic with HIDs. I never even tried em with halogens. The cutoff is perfect.

 

ok cool thanx for the info... yea i know with HID's they are awsome but like i said it might be a month or so b4 i get the HID's...i just didnt know how well they were with a stock bulb or like steve said an upgraded bulb.

I have them with silverstars. The light output is great, although with my bags I have to raise my front a bit higher than my back to get the proper range...otherwise they cut off short.

 

may have to re-seal them.. its still on my to-do list...grr....

have also noticed my highbeams are kinda pointed to the left
anyway of adjusting just the high beams???
feels like riding a bike with the handlebars crooked...lol
bout ditched the damn thing now a few times lookin at the headlight beams ....lol

 

Don...Unlike the stockers there are two adjusters on both lights
lower one for left to right and upper one for up and down
Follow the Toyota PDF and adjust them. Mine worked fine after the adjustment. I was signaling planes on the driver side it would turn off street lights.
Just remember to loosen each adjuster five or six turns before starting, too tight might break reflector
I unhooked each light and zeroed them in separately.

On these headlights is the non projector the high beam and the projector the low beam? If so is there some sorta harness included?
