Default Anyone have angle problem with their projector headlights??

I got the sonar version of the projector headlight and the aim is pretty high, almost as high as high beam. Does anyone have this problem? Plus i have HID so its really birhgt and noticeable. Any way to tilt it down or lower the angle?

pics f the lights please... do your have the 3 led version, or are they the good ones like this?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-04...ALO-PROJECTOR-[url]HEADLIGHTS_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33710QQihZ014QQitemZ330000949918QQrdZ1[url]
if you have the ones that look like these w/o the 3 led's there are adjustment screws on the back of each housing for l/r and u/d
i have a set exactly as pictured, and the only way i could get my headlights adjusted was to aim the headlights- the highs are way out of wack but the headlights are dead on.

Yea, these are the ones i have but in black housing. Do you have to take out the headlight to do it?

Sorry for jumping in here but I've been considering a set of those headlights and I've been wondering if they are plug and play or will I have to splice them in?

Thanks!

I think this is the way for the adjustments BUT you'll have to adjust the lights based on your projector lights and not the high beam.

Also double check your bulbs and make sure they are seated properly in the housing.
Hope that helps.

Plug and play...very bright for projection. The only problem i had was the aiming. Everything else is great.

It all depends on the HID kit you purchase, some of them actually come w/ Plug'nPlay
wire harnesses and some you'll have to take some time to splice.

Try and use "T" tap wire connectors to make the parking light wire hook ups easier.

you will have to tap wires for the parking lights to get the halos to light up. I love mine despite the fact that the brights can not be aimed independantly from the low beams. great light output, superb construction quality. i will be getting another set for my RS3.0

What do you mean "can not be aimed independantly from the low beams"

no need to take the light out to adjust.. you can get in there once installed, and spin the adjusters by hand, or with a long flat head screwdriver. Thats what i did, although i have big hands. L/R you can do by hand by reaching around the back of the housing, U/D use a long flathead and go from the top down into the back of the housing. should only take a few spins to get everything lined up.

this goes w/o saying but... just make sure you are on level ground, and mark your lines on a wall or some huge flat obstruction. pull up to the wall about a few inches back, mark on the wall the center of each headlight and make croshairs horizontal and vertical so that the center of the crosshairs will be the spot where the center of the headlight would be, if it was up against the wall. its important NOT to mark where the center of the light beam is as this will change when you adjust them. once marked as a reference, roll back 25 ft and then start to adjust each headlight based on your reference marks. when done, sit in the drivers seat, look at beam pattern and make adjustments as needed. if you normally drive with a passenger, have someone sit in the passenger seat with you for proper adjustment. also check the tire pressure and try to have a full tank of gas. all these little things can throw the beams out of wack slightly.

So if you get those headlights you can't adjust the highbeams? Are they shooting into outerspace? Cross eyed? Worthless?

the highbeams adjust with the headlights, BUT in most cases they are off internally in the housing. Example - because of the way my set in constructed if i adjust them so that my headlights are dead on, my hi-beams are Right side pointing full up and Right / Left Side pointing full down and left. if I adjust so that the high beams are aimed, then the headlights are way out of wack. They are on an internal track and move together low and hi beam. After installing these in my RS1.0 the output is so good, i do not need to use my hi beams anymore, but then again, how picky do you want to be for a set of $100 headlights? If you are concearned with functinality of both low and hi and having them properly aimed, stick with the perfectly good housings that came stock on your ride, maybe just knock out the reflector, is up to you. We all know there are small sacrifices we have to make when adding aftermarket parts, the question is do the pros outweigh the cons?

Well Done!
Now I can't remember which wires to tap for the HaLos on the parking lights.
Can someone clarify 'coz I can see this question coming if it doesn't get covered now.
