I like the subtle approach:

and the black box graphic that no one gets. little black boxes, or voice data recorders are actually orange w/ white stripes, but 99% of those who have seen my grahic, ask me what it is. another example of a good idea poorly executed.

Yeah man, that's the coolest way for "tint" in my opinion!
I was thinking about doing that but I was worried about the price.... How much did it cost you? I'd love to put a montage of the Japanese Super Robot Army as a rear glass graphic....
Hey, I can appreciate your art. I like it. We all don't have the same tastes and we must accept that. What we can do is appreciate the skill and application.
The colors, the culture and the continuity with the car model tie in together nicely. It is not garrish and it is not "in your face". The only thing I would have done differently is make the X lower-case to match the actual model type.
