Default bB hatch swap question

Hi, I just put on my Jdm hatch, and I noticed that the wiring for the Jdm hatch is different, I obviouslly know it doesn't have the lights for the license plate. But I noticed that the door won't lock, has anyone done the swap and know which wires I need to move?

Rear door lock wiring from the diagram:
Red/white - Rear motor courtesy switch
Light Blue/Yellow - Rear door lock motor
Brown/Yellow - Rear door opener switch

if you search you can find the whole electrical diagrams in PDF, very helpful.

Hope that's what you were looking for.

Nice hatch, Now you just need the rear bumper.

Where did you put the switch? and you might have a problem with no plate light.

Put what switch? I'm going to get a fab kit
In the spring, I'm gonna just get a license
Plate frame with built in light. Cops don't usually
Mess with me anymore about stuff on my car hah

I have the wiring diagram for the xb, it's the wires on the bB hatch that I don't know about

Would thge wiring be that different?, I would think that there would be less with the handle instead of the courtesy switch. Can uou not swap out the bB wire harness for the xB one. Is the latch a power lock on the bB?

Sorry, it looks like I am the one asking the questions on your question

I also posted this thread on club xb.com
And some guys that have done the swap just replied saying they couldn't get the electrical lock to work, their solution was to get a key made for the lock that came with the hatch. Simple and inexpensive, now my main problem is finding a set of hatch struts other than the dealer (wants to charge 300$ for a set)

Just being a silly bugger, but could you not swap out the lock assembly and install the electric lock from the xB so the key will not be needed? Hope you can figure it out, it would suck to have another key

I am looking to shave the licence plate spot in the future to have a "clean" hatch and I will try to relocate the switch into a plate holder in the rear bumper.
