Default Billet Grill Howling!!!!!

Anyone else getting a howl out of their Billet Grill?
As soon as I installed the top (main) grill, I got this howling noise .......
There is one pitch around 30 MPH and another one around 50 MPH.
And it ain't my dog! (or my wife!)

Actually, that is why the RS1.0 xB grille has a plastic backing and the Putco grilles I sell are solid. They could not keep them from producing a whistle or howl at certain speeds.

Scott just doesn't hear it because his radio is up!

It's not a unique occurence.

a buddy of mine with a Dodge 1500 and another with a Nissan Altima both have billet grilles that whistle at certain speeds.

the guy with the 1500 was able to track down which area of his grille was producing the whistling and managed to fix it by putting a dab of clear silicone sealant in the area.

The hard part is tryinng to find the area since the issue can only be reproduced with winds going a certain speed.

btw, the Guy with the Altima hasn't been able to fix his yet .... and oddly enough, he'll be wearing a straightjacket for halloween

I'll have my wife drive and I'll lay on the hood and see if I can figure out where its coming from...... LMAO

Actually, I was thinking of putting some kind of backing on it. That should fix it!

Anyone done that?

Hey I noticed that too...but because I put my grill on the day I got my Xb I just assumed it was normal for the car...let me know what the outcome is if you put a backing on.
