Default Busted windshield.

I was on my way to work and I hear this awful sound and next thing I know I have shards of glass all over me. A rock, undoubtedly big, hit the lower driver side of my windshield just above the VIN. That thing hit so hard that it shattered the windshield. I should've taken pics... Oh well. Anyone else have one hit so hard? So anyway, I got a new glass put in a couple hours later. Just wanted to share that.

I actually saw a giant rock coming at me in the corner of my eye. It hit with a huge thud. When I stopped I inspected my car and could not find damage. I looked at the hood, the glass, and the top. As I saw it only peripherally, I was not sure where it hit. I could not find the hit!!! Then about a week later I stopped to get has and was cleaning my windshield. When I lifted the wiper--there was the damage. The glass was pulverized and there was a big crease in the plastic trim. Welcome to the broken glass club!

Wow that sucks man. There was no way I was not going to see mine though, it was as big around as a softball and there was glass all inside the car. But yeah, I've been a member of the cracked windshield club for a long time. This just gave me an excuse to finally get some new glass installed.

Picked up my third chip today... biggest of the three. Did not have any of them sealed and none of them have spread so I keep on rockin' with 'em.

80 miles a day on Houston's freeways sure takes a toll after while...
