Default Can ya see?

I'm in serious debate about tinting my windows. The only drawback is I'm wondering how hard it is to see through a HP-6 (limo) window. I plan on doing one lighter in front either way. So either HP-6 in back, and HP-22 in front, or 22 and 32. Can you guys with tint tell me how hard it is to see?

6? 22? 32? you mean 5% , 20% and 30%

it gets dark but it's fairly easy to see out of. if you put 20% over the rear privacy you get teh equivelent of 5%

I put 20% on the back and it's fairly easy to see through at night, no problems.

Just recall, you need to keep it in the legal limits for your state, or the cops will be watching you

I ran 5% on the front windows and 20% on all the rear windows. It looked great and I could see out at night ok. It was a bit of getting used to but........I dealt with it. About a week ago I got pulled over and got a ticket for my tint. SUCKS! $130. I have a friend whos brother is a trooper and he got me out of the ticket, but said it it happend again I will get the maximum fine on me wich is $500. Woah!

So........I got my front windows re-tinted today so they are legal. 35% and it look decent. At least it is legal.

The moral to this story is........careful with illegal tint, especially in an xB. These cars are very noticable and you will get harrassed by the cops. Illegal window covreing tickets are expensive and its a lot of hassle.

Good luck.

At this point I wish I had gotten something like 50% on the front windows.

I see you are in Yorba Linda, CA. In California here's the rules:

1. ANY tint on the front side windows is illegal
2. You can put any tint you choose on the back and rear side windows as longs as you have a right side mirror.

If you get caught and cited you have to have to remove the tint and get the cite signed off, and sometimes pay a fee just to get the cite signed off.

My first vehicle (1994 DOdge Dakota) had 5% on the doors and two layers of 5% on the rear. I would never do that again. My next vehicle (1988 Mazda B2200) had 5% all the way around, worked great visibility was decreased, but it was doable.

just depends on how often you drive where there aren't street lights. i've got 35% up front (legal limit in NV) and theres a spot where i always turn left and there are no street lights and i have to roll down my window to be able to see it.
