Default Car Cover for the xB

Anyone have any recommendations for a car cover for the xB? I need something that is easy to remove and store, since mine is an everyday driver. I wouldn't need one other than the fact that the lady that lives across the street has a cat that gets on my car and leaves scratches. Trust me, my first thought was to just kill the cat, but that would be messy and I don't want to start a family feud,

I did a forum search for "car cover" but nothing relevant came up.

Any input would be appreciated.

No it's not messy! First, you need a trap, mine is 10x12x36 and works sweet.I ordered it off the net, they are inexpensive. Second you need some cat food, I get the small can with the peel top for one time ease of use.Third, I set the trap out late at night while everyone is asleep, then, I wake up a little bit early, slap some clothes on and check the trap.If there is one in it ,I throw the trap into the vehicle and take the cat to a new neighborhood, away from mine.I call it "hauling" a cat.Sounds like you have one that needs hauling. The only downside was the couple of times that I caught possum instead and their bowels just totally unload and it is a chore to clean everything, that and getting the trap open with them freaking out way worse than a cat could ever get.

JC Whitney sells many styles of car covers that are custom made for whatever car you own. I have purchased covers from them in the past--but not for the xB. www.jcwhitney.com

A cover may do more harm over time than the cat. In order to use a car cover the car must be absolutely clean prior to putting it on. The cover too must be clean. I say get the trap and let animal control deal with it. The leash laws do apply to all pet owners not just dogs! You could also let her know about the damage and give her the choice to keep it in the house permanatly before you invlove animal control. Good luck and keep us posted.

Most state have state wide leash laws. I learned that fron Peoples court and Judge Judy!
If no leash law then it's open season for trapping with humane trap or popping some caps.

I'd have to check the county statutes for my county on the trapping. To close to houses to discharge a firearm though per county laws...I'll keep you all updated.

I might just do something like that.....that way when the home owner's association complains, I'll tell them it is because of the neighbor's cat. LOL....thanks for the idea!
