Default CF hood install advice

I am about to attempt installing my CF hood. Are there any "gotchas" or tips that you guys can share to make sure it looks great, lines up correctly etc.?

Use 2-3 people...its really simple took off your stock hoods and washer parts...have one person on each side holding it up and wrench the new one in. IF you have a fiberglass shell do not tighten it too much because you can f up the fiberglass...as far as getting it straight on mess with the 4 black tabs which help adjust the hieght of the hood for each side...

Where are the 4 black tabs you speak of? The hood does not appear to fit. The latch hoop is slightly off center and prevents the hood from fitting into place when latched.

well if the latch is messed up there are problems...you try drilling new holes for the actual latch but really try adjusting the black plugs...here is a pic...there are two on each side

I have no real Scion experience but I do know that fiberglass parts (and I imagine CF) are notorious for needing some work to fit properly.

I've seen parts that just wouldn't fit no matter what. I hope this isn't your case.

Most of my experience is with VWs.

i was thinking of getting the CF hood too, what is the weight difference for the xb hood vs. CF?

ive tried searching the forums but i must not be searching the right words or something.

if anyone knows a good place to get a CF for the xB im looking! I live in north FL Jacksonville area but am willing to drive a couple hours for it

hey that pic has the strut tower brace, i always wondered...can that be installed easily yourself? or does it involve a lot more work since it is connected to the struts?
