Default In Channel Visor problem

Hey everyone,

This may sound redundant, but..... I was looking through the history trying to answer my question, and to no avail.

So I purchased some in channel visors by JDM for my 06 xb to keep that damn rain out of my car. To my suprise when I attempted to install the rear visor it didnt seem to fit snug, or as if it was too big. but to my own neglect to post first. I managed to snap about a 1" piece off the end. Now before I go to install a new set I was wondering if anyone has a step by step instructional how to do this properly (with pics). I would greatly appreciate the help.

Thanks in advance

sounds like you got a set that was improperly manufactured...
what brand, where did you buy?
i have wade's and they are 100% perfect fitment.
for the rear just angle them from the top of the window down to the bottom, getting one side in the channel and push it to the top, then out the other side in the bottom of the channel on the oposite side of the window - you will have the visor angled down from top to bottom- then just push the visor up to the top of the window channel, should only be a problem if they are not made to fit the window. cheaper sets have poor fitment..
was it the front or the rear you broke?

thats how i did mine..

Weathertech makes some great ones. In-channels, not stick-on. Saw 'em on an RS1 this weekend. Nice and only $95.

link is for 2004 model, note there are 2 tints.

Default are the tabs on the front windows moveable

I am on my second set of wind deflectors I purchased and the notch for the tab on the front window of my 06 xB doesn't line up again. Is this just because they were both semi cheap brands? I got my money back for the first set and am just wondering if those tabs are movable so I can just install these things and move on to more exciting things.

Default ....YES...those tabs will move...

I have the E-SAM visors now, but when I had in-channel visors, I learned that those tabs on your front window frame can be moved to line up with the visor tab spot.
1. Pull down the black rubber gasket to expose the tab.
2. Remove the blue tape that holds the window tab in place. Move it to where it needs to be for the in-channel visor and re-tape it to the window frame. You can re-use the special blue tape.
3. Re-tape the tab in place and replace the rubber gasket in the window frame.

Now those in-channel visors will look as if they were made for a box.
