Default Cracked Lip

I know this is a pretty common thing but i have a cracked front lip but the way it happened isnt so common. We had a pretty serious ice storm for South Carolina this year and it really stressed the trees and to make a long story short, a 8" diameter limb fell in maybe 6" in front of me and i ran over it and lost my grill and cracked the lip. I guess im lucky it didnt hit the hood or come through the windshield. But now i need a new lip and i have very little cash to spend on it. Any suggestions? i am open to anything, a replacement, repair, vinyl wrap or sticker on top. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Thanks for everything you do!

hey thanks for the quick response! bondo is a great idea but i was wondering about the paint it black suggestion. are you saying black because of my financial restrictions and it would be easier for me to do myself or because you think it would look better? i have never painted auto stuff before, is it hard to get a nice looking finished product? Thanks for everything!

Black beacuse getting a color matched paint would be too expensive.

Painting an auto part is just like painting anything else... but with way more clear coats!

Try www.paintscratch.com alittle expensive but you shouldn't need a lot unless your going to repaint the whole bumper.

how much do you think i will need? it is a tear about 6" long so i guess i wouldnt need that much. On paintscratch.com it says that a 2 oz. bottle covers 2 square feet so that should be enough right? Or should i go with the spray can for 7 dollars more.

So i would need to first sand, then bondo, then sand again, the paint and the clear? do i need a primer? the part i dont really understand is how do i paint without making it obvious that its a touch up. How do you feather the paint is really what i am asking i guess? Thanks guys/

Looks like my crack! Cept I ran over a rabbit. And mine was a little worse.

You can do what im doing, driving around for like 2 months with a cracked lip until you can come up with money for a aftermarket. Usually 200-300 painted to match your car...

I think painting it black looks hella ghetto. Bondo sounds good though. *shrug*
