Default curious how fab style spoilers are held on?? (pics)

^^^ looking straight at the back of the car. if you look close (i know, crappy pics ) you can see the black clip and set screw.

^^^^ more of a side view. you can see a slit in the spoiler where the clamp goes. its close to the car and just slides in, tighten the screw with an allen key and your good to go!

of course there is one for each side, but the other one came out worse in pics. i have a fixed lense digital camera

That's the only reason I've even considered a FAB "Style"
spoiler at all, is NO HOLES!

I'd love to put a spoiler on my box, but I can't bring myself
to be unique "just like everyone else" and slap on a Fab
"Style".

If I'm not mistaken, isn't the leading edge held on by double
stick foamy tape?

yeah, the same 3M heavy duty foamy tape you can buy at target. one roughly 8" piece goes on the top side of the car and two 5" pieces go on the rear edge, one on each side.

It's made specifically for automotive use and doesn't
"bond" with the paint.

ok one more Q, i have an oem wing, with the oem holes, but i have an OEM carbon fiber wing, without the holes, do u think i could just double stick tape it and it would be safe, because i kinda dont want to hafta drill it and would it keep out water from seeking into the factory holes?

i would not put a body part on a car without fastening it down. the tape will stick but to entirely support a wing i dontknow. plus, if somebody wants it they will just take it off your car

what do u think i should do then, whats the best way to secure it, because this is completly smooth on top, no area for a bolt to go through, and if im had it drilled, there would be a massive gap that couldnt be covere, so u see my dilemma

does it have a tapped hole in the back?

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...ht=oem+spoiler

you use double sided 3M tape to help secure it and you can use it to cover the holes, but you need to fasten it to the hatch somehow
